Wide receiver Doug Baldwin, set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2015, is in contract talks with the world champion Seattle Seahawks, according to a national report.
Baldwin said during an interview with KJR-AM that talks were progressing toward an extension.
However, he did indicate that it is far from finalized, noting that "it's going to take some time," and describing the current state of affairs in the very "early stages," via the Seattle Times.
Since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2011, Baldwin, 25, has never started a full season for the Seahawks, nor has he recorded a 1,000-yard season. In three years (46 games played), Baldwin has 130 receptions, 1,932 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.
