Andre Ward’s search for an opponent continues.
According to boxingscene.com, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has refused to sanction his pending bout with Australia’s Rohan Murdock (18-1, 0 KO), on grounds that it is a mismatch.
Ward (28-0, 15 KO) is slated as the co-feature for the Miguel Cotto-Canelo Alvarez pay per view card on Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
