Today's game between the Giants and the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field has been postponed by Major League Baseball due to rain.

Cubs officials announced the postponement three hours before the gamewas scheduled to start. It was raining lightly in Chicago, andforecasts called for little improvement.

The makeup date is June 28, when the Giants return to Chicago for a Tuesday-Thursday series.

Saturday, Ryan Vogelsong pitched six scoreless innings in a rain-shortened game and Buster Posey hit an RBI single to lead San Francisco to a 3-0 win over Chicago.

Sunday's game would have featured Giants right-hander Tim Lincecum (3-3) against Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano (4-1).

The Cubs decided to make the announcement even before gates opened.
