Giants pitcher Barry Zito will start the second game of San Francisco's doubleheader against the Cubs on Tuesday.
REWIND: Giants' Zito likely to start Tuesday
After four rehab starts, Zito rejoined the Giants Wednesday to meet with manager Bruce Bochy regarding what comes next.
His final start for the Triple-A Grizzlies was a two-hitter.
Bochy and the Giants have not dismissed the option of carrying 13 pitchers when Zito returns, and the corresponding roster move upon his activation has not yet been announced.
Zito was first placed on the disabled list with a right mid-foot sprain on March 17.
He was 0-1 in three starts before the injury, striking out six and walking eight with an ERA of 6.23.
