This marks the sixth time in the last seven years the A’s have drafted a position player with their first-round pick. (Cal State Fullerton Athletics)

The Oakland A’s selected college players with eight of their first 10 picks in this year’s draft. The breakdown includes seven pitchers and three infielders. Check out the complete list of all 40 players drafted by the A's in the 2014 amateur draft:

1st round pick
Matt Chapman -- 3B -- Cal State Fullerton -- 6-foot-1, 195 pounds
Chapman, a 6-2, 215-pound junior, batted .312 with six home runs and a team-leading 48 RBI this season for the Titans. He walked 27 times against just 26 strikeouts and finished the season with a .412 on-base percentage. The right-handed hitter also hit 16 doubles and stole six bases in eight attempts.

2nd round pick (65th overall)
Daniel Gossett -- RHP -- Clemson -- 6-foot-1, 185 pounds
Gossett went 7-2 with a 1.93 ERA in 15 starts this season, striking out 107 and walking 30 in 107 1/3 innings.

3rd round pick
Brett Graves -- RHP -- Missouri -- 6-foot-1, 173 pounds
As a junior, Graves started 14 games for Missouri, finishing 3-6 with a 3.87 ERA in 93.0 innings pitched, leading the Tigers in innings, starts and strikeouts (64). A 6-1, 173-pounds, Graves led his high school team to a 32-3 record and a state championship his senior year while being named the 2011 Gatorade Player of the Year in Missouri.

4th round pick
Jordan Schwartz -- RHP -- Niagara -- 6-foot-2
Schwartz went 5-6 with a 3.12 ERA for Niagara this season, and finished with 109 strikeouts and just 35 walks. He led the Purple Eagles in innings, starts, ERA, strikeouts and opponents batting average (.217), and was named a Second Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference performer.

5th round pick
Heath Fillmyer -- RHP -- Mercer County CC -- 6-foot-1, 185 pounds
Fillmyer, who just finished his second year at Mercer County (NJ) Community College, was named the Region 19 Division II Player of the Year in 2014. After pitching fewer than 10 innings in 2013, Fillmyer went 9-0 with a 0.68 ERA and 94 strikeouts in 66 innings pitched this season. He was previously drafted in the 28th round of the 2013 draft by Colorado.

6th round pick
Trace Loehr -- SS -- Putnam HS -- 5-foot-10, 175 pounds
Loehr—who is signed to play collegiately at Oregon State—was named a 2014 First Team All-American by the website Perfect Game. He won back-to-back Northwest Oregon Conference Player of the Year awards in 2013-14. This season, he hit .538 with 11 doubles, five triples and a home run while stealing 21 bases.

7th round pick
Branden Cogswell -- SS -- Virginia -- 6-foot-2, 180 pounds
Cogswell was named First Team All-ACC this season after earning Second Team honors in 2013. In three seasons for the Cavaliers, he hit .306 with 21 doubles, nine triples and 54 RBI. He stole 21 bases in 32 attempts and posted a career .425 on-base percentage. 

8th round pick
Branden Kelliher -- RHP -- Lake Stevens HS -- 5-foot-11, 178 pounds
Kelliher, an Oregon recruit, finished 6-2 with a 1.32 ERA and led his high school team to a league title this season. He was named first team all-league as a Lake Stevens High School senior. Fagan went 4-2 with a 2.33 ERA in a team-leading 58 innings in 2014, including three complete games. He struck out 77 and walked 18, and opponents hit just .213 against him. 

9th round pick
Mike Fagan -- LHP -- Princeton -- 6-foot, 175 pounds

10th round pick
Corey Miller -- RHP -- Pepperdine -- 6-foot-3, 195 pounds
Miller is 9-4 with a 1.75 ERA in 15 games (all starts) for Pepperdine this season. He has 80 strikeouts and 29 walks in 113 innings, and will continue his season this weekend against TCU in an NCAA Super Regional. He was previously drafted in the 16th round of the 2013 draft by Milwaukee.

Joel Seddon -- RHP -- South Carolina -- 6-foot-1, 165 pounds

12th round pick
Tyler Willman -- RHP -- Western Illinois -- 6-foot-6, 190 pounds

13th round pick
Robert Kuhn -- 2B -- Kentucky -- 5-foot-11, 185 pounds

14th round pick 
Casey Schroeder -- C -- Polk State College -- 6-foot-2, 190 pounds

15th round pick
Trent Gilbert -- 2B -- Arizona -- 6-foot-2, 195 pounds

16th round pick
Jose Brizuela -- 3B -- Florida State -- 5-foot, 200 pounds

17th round pick
Eric Cheray -- C -- Missouri State -- 6-foot-3, 185 pounds

18th round pick
Michael Nolan -- LHP -- Oklahoma City -- 6-foot-7, 215 pounds

19th round pick
Tom Gavitt -- C -- Bryant -- 6-foot-4, 185 pounds

20th round pick
Koby Gauna -- RHP -- CSU Fullerton -- 6-foot-2, 210 pounds

21st round pick
Tim Proudfoot -- SS -- Texas Tech -- 5-foot-10, 180 pounds

Brendan McCurry -- RHP -- Oklahoma State -- 5-foot-10, 159 pounds
