The A's aquired LHP Brad Mills from Milwaukee, the Brewers announced Tuesday afternoon.

While with the Brewers Triple-A team this season, Mills made 14 appearances (12 starts) and had a 1.56 ERA with 77 strikeouts in 75 innings.

The 29-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012 and only made one appearance that year with the Los Angeles Angels when his pitched five innings, gave up three runs and struck out six.

Mills was originally selected in the fourth round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.

In exchange, the A's sent cash to Milwaukee.
