The transaction give-and-take continues between the Oakland A’s and Texas Rangers.

On Monday the A’s claimed infielder Andy Parrino off waivers from the Rangers and optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento. This comes after the Rangers claimed Parrino from the A’s on March 3. It calls to mind another infielder who ping-pong-ed between the teams last season, Adam Rosales. He was swapped several times between the teams each time he was placed on waivers.

Rosales is currently with Texas’ Triple-A club, so he won’t be at the Coliseum on Monday night when the Rangers open a three-game series against the first-place A’s.
