Daric Barton clears waivers, heads to Sacramento

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s outrighted first baseman Daric Barton to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.

Barton was selected from Sacramento May 8 and hit .143 with a home run and three RBI in eight games with the A’s, including six starts at first base.  He was designated for assignment May 18 and cleared waivers today.  Barton is batting .287 with three home runs and 21 RBI in 29 games with the River Cats.
