The A's activated right fielder Josh Reddick from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday, prior to their road trip opener at Minnesota.
Reddick had been sidelined since Aug. 26 with a sprained right wrist, an injury that also put him on the DL earlier in the season.
He is hitting just .213 with 10 home runs and 46 RBI this season.
Brandon Moss has served as the primary right fielder with Reddick out, but Chris Young and Michael Choice have seen time there against left-handed pitchers.
If Reddick returns to the lineup regularly, Moss figures to shift back to first base.
