A's send seven more to minors

The A's sent seven more players to minor-league affiliate organizations, the team announced Sunday. 

Oakland optioned infielder Grant Green and outfielder Michael Taylor to Triple-A Sacramento. 

Green hit .409 in 14 games this spring, striking out just twice in 22 plate appearances before being sent down. He was drafted with the 13th overall selection in the 2009 MLB Draft.

Taylor played in six games for the A's during the 2012 season, hitting .143 in 21 plate appearances. He hit .250 in 14 games this spring.

The A’s also reassigned five non-roster invitees to their minor league camp, including right-handed pitcher Brian Gordon, catcher David Freitas, infielders Scott Moore and Darwin Perez and outfielder Michael Choice.
