When the A's wear their white jerseys at home, they win 72 percent of the time. It's the third-highest winning jersey in Major League Baseball this year, according to research done by SportsLogos.net.
The website conducted an extensive study over the first half of the 2013 MLB season -- "Does clothing determine success? MLB team jersey, cap stats" -- in response to the common complaint from everyday fans -- "It seems like those guys always lose when they wear that jersey."
The A's, in fact, don't always lose in any jersey, as they own the third best record in the majors and have won with every variation of uniform this year, including two holiday kits.
