The A’s played outstanding baseball over the first 95 games, earning some much-needed rest before gearing up for the second half of the season.
Sonny Gray limited the Mariners to six hits over 7 2/3 innings and the A's scored four unanswered to win 4-1 and avoid the sweep in Seattle.
Thanks to the addition of two pitchers, the A's believe they have now found a winning balance with their starting rotation.
