Giants send Burriss to Fresno; Hensley headed for free agency

The San Francisco Giants made two roster moves Wednesday, assigning infielder Emmanuel Burriss to Triple-A Fresno and announcing that right-handed pitcher Clay Hensley declined outright assignment and elected free agency.Burriss hit .213 in 136 at-bats with the Giants in 2012 and also played in 29 games with the Fresno Grizzlies. He was left off the Giants' playoff roster along with Hensley.Hensley appeared in 60 games for the Giants in 2012 and compiled a 4.62 ERA. Hensley had a 3.27 ERA through August 18, but struggled after that and ended up on the disabled list with a right groin strain before returning to the team on September 16.
