Huff to start in left for Giants; Belt, Pill to platoon at 1B

Bruce Bochy is the master of lineup tweaks. But in meeting with the media after the Giants' final spring training game, it appears as if he's looking for more stability.Aubrey Huff will be the Giants' every-day left fielder in 2012, leaving Brandon Belt and Brett Pill to platoon at first base. Belt will face the lion share of right-handers with Pill taking the lefties. "I don't want to switch it up," Bochy said. "I want to stay consistent."The Giants also have the option of using Buster Posey at first base to give him a break from catching. With Huff slated as a starting outfielder alongside Melky Cabrera and Angel Pagan, where does it leave Nate Schierholtz? "Things change," Bochy said. "This is how we're starting out." Bochy said he spoke with Schierholtz, who is comfortable contributing where he can for the Giants -- just as he has been asked to do in the past.
