Washington Nationals' Davey Johnson was named the 2012 National League Manager of the Year Tuesday, defeating San Francisco's Bruce Bochy and Cincinnati's Dusty Baker.
Johnson won in a landslide with 23 first-place votes and 131 points. Dusty Baker earned five first-place votes and came in second place with 77 points. Bochy garnered four first-place votes and came in third place with 61 points.
Two of Bochy's four first-place votes came from Bay Area beat writers Henry Schulman and Carl Steward.

Johnson led the Nationals to their best record since the team's inception in 2005 -- a 98-64 mark that was the best in all of baseball.
The Nationals lost in the NLDS to the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-2.
Johnson owns 1,286 career MLB wins, fourth best among active managers behind Jim Leyland, Dusty Baker and Bruce Bochy.
Johnson, 69, becomes the fifth manager to win the award in both leagues. He won AL Manager of the Year in 1997 when he guided the Baltimore Orioles to a 98-64 record.
