Buster Posey has already established himself as one of the most beloved Giants ever. Now, fans have a chance to actually be Buster.
Virtually, at least.
"Buster Bash," launched Monday, traces Posey's career arc over five levels in a home run derby-style format. Players need only to swipe their finger across the screen to launch their virtual bombs.

The game download (iTunes link) is free, and players can purchase extras for real money.
Posey's agent Jeff Berry said in an email to the social media blog Mashable that the game isn't necessarily about promoting a personal agenda for Posey.
"Buster is an emerging face of the game with broad appeal across a large fan base, and he plays in the tech-savvy Bay Area markey," Berry wrote. "We knew that Buster loves to play games on his phone, so when we talked to him about the idea of creating his own several months ago, he jumped at the chance. Plus, his life story had all the makings of a good game theme."
Perhaps Posey put it best:

"It's more fun than anything," said the Giants' star catcher. "I don't really have any goals or expectations about the game other than I hope people really enjoy playing it."
