Pablo Sandoval and Marco Scutaro showed up ready to play in the World Series, entering their names in the Giants history books by compiling a number of impressive stats early on in Game 1.

- Pablo Sandoval recorded the fourth ever three-home run game in World Series history and the ninth three-home run game in MLB postseason history. He is the first player to go deep three times in a World Series game since Albert Pujols in 2011. The first man to do it was Babe Ruth in 1926. Ruth did it twice.
