The Giants have signed Mike Fontenot to a one-year contract, and elected to not tender offers to both Jeff Keppinger and Eli Whiteside, according to several sources.
Fontenot was acquired via trade in 2010, and batted .282 in 28 games with the Giants en route to the World Series title.
In 2011, he appeared in 85 games and hit .227 with four home runs and 21 RBI.

Jeff Keppinger joined the Giants in July, 2011 and hit .255 in 230 plate appearances.
Eli Whiteside signed with the Giants as a free agent in November, 2008 and appeared in 183 games over the past three seasons. He delivered 10 home runs and 40 RBI.
