Bogut's return up in the air

Warriors center Andrew Bogut told the San Francisco Chronicle and Bay Area News Group on Wednesday that his return to the team could come in one, two or three months.Bogut, who fractured his left ankle in January while playing with the Bucks, has played in just four of the Warriors first 14 games this season.RELATED: Report -- Bogut had microfracture surgeryThat latest timetable for return comes on the heels of Bogut saying that his initial April surgery was not just a routine cleaning, but also included a microfracture procedure.Bogut and Warriors general manager Bob Myers addressed the media after Wednesdays practice to talk about Boguts injury, which has been lingering during the course of the teams 8-6 season.The Warriors had hoped Bogut would be 100 percent by the start of training camp, but he hadnt been cleared for all basketball activities by then.Bogut then talked of playing in a preseason game or two and being ready for the regular-season opener, which was on Oct. 31, at Phoenix. But he was on a minutes-limit, and shortly after opening night, the Warriors made it clear Bogut wouldnt be playing in the second of back-to-back games.In mid-November, the team announced Bogut would be shut down for seven-to-10 days, but it turned out to be longer than that. Bogut eventually traveled to L.A., to work out under the supervision of Dr. Richard Ferkel, the surgeon who performed the April surgery.
