Former Stanford PF Owens one of 12 to work out for W's Monday

The Warriors held two separate predraft workouts on Monday morning, bringing in 12 players in advance of the June 28 NBA draft.The first workout included Michigan States Draymond Green, Xaviers Tu Holloway, Syracuses Kris Joseph, Ionas Scott Machado, Texas A&Ms Khris Middleton and Vanderbilts Jeff Taylor.The second group included Baylors Anthony Jones, West Virginias Kevin Jones, New Mexico States Wendell McKines, Stanfords Josh Owens, Villanovas Maalik Wayns and Washingtons Tony Wroten.Green was the 2012 National Association of Basketball Coaches Player of the Year and consensus All-American. He finished his career as the Spartans all-time leading rebounder.Green is considered an undersized power forward, but he has a solid all-around game and shot 38.8 percent from the beyond the arc.Holloway averaged 17.5 points and 4.9 assists per game and wound up as Xaviers sixth all-time leading scorer.Taylor is considered by many to be a first-round selection and could go as high as the mid-first round.He averaged 16.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game his senior season, while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from 3-point range.Owens was Stanfords starting power forward, and averaged 11.6 points per game in both his junior and senior seasons. Over the course of his four-year career, Owens shot 57.3 percent from the field.Wroten played one year at Washington and averaged 16 points, five rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and First Team All-Pac-12.McKines, who played at Richmond High School, averaged 18.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game (8th in the country) his senior season. McKines red-shirted his junior year after sustaining an injury.
