Apparently, Andrew Boguts left ankle isnt making the kindof progress that the Warriors wanted to see.Warriors coach Mark Jackson said on Thursday that the teamwill shut down Bogut for the next seven to 10 days in order to give his leftankle some rest.Bogut fractured his left ankle while playing for the Bucksin January, and though he did return for the teams opening game in Phoenix onOct. 31, it was obvious that he wasnt 100 percent. The Warriors had hoped Bogut would be at full strength forthe entire season. But so far this season, Bogut has been on a 20-minute limitand he had been sitting out the second game of back-to-backs.Using the seven-to-10-day time frame, Bogut will miss aminimum of three games and could miss as many as five. The Warriors play at the L.A. Lakers on Friday, then returnhome on Saturday for a game against Denver. The Warriors play Atlanta onWednesday, and then go out on the road for a three-game road trip. Ideally,Bogut would return for the first game of that trip: at Minnesota on Nov.16.The team announced Bogut was being shut down on Twitter, and followed up to reveal that the motive of the decision is to strengthen his surgically repaired ankle:Team will rest Bogut in an effort to continue to strengthen his surgically repaired left ankle.
