Warriors forward Brandon Rush tore the ACL in his right knee.Rush sustained the injury in the first quarter of the Memphis Grizzlies 94-84 win over the Warriors on Friday night at Oracle Arena. Rush landed awkwardly on his left leg after being fouled by the Grizzlies Zach Randolph while attempting a dunk.Although he is expected to miss the remainder of the season, Rush has proven he is a quick healer.Back in May of 2007, following his sophomore year at Kansas University, Rush tore the ACL in his right knee while preparing for the 2007 NBA Draft.Fortunately, he was able to withdraw his name and return to Kansas for his junior year.
Amazingly, just six months after tearing his ACL, Rush made his season debut on Nov. 15, 2007.He wound up averaging a team-high 13.3 points per game, leading the Jayhawks to the 2008 national championship.Rush had a breakout season for the Warriors last year, andis an integral part of what the team believes is an improved bench. Thisoffseason, he re-signed with the Warriors for 8 million over twoyears.
Rush tweeted the following at 2:29 Saturday afternoon:Been thru this before. Just gonna make me a all around better player Warriors Brandon Rush (@KCsFinest4) November 3, 2012
