Warriors' Rush sustains injury in first quarter

OAKLAND -- Warriors forward Brandon Rush appeared to injurehis left knee while attempting a dunk in the first quarter against the MemphisGrizzlies.Rush was in a fastbreak situation, and when he went up forthe dunk, he was fouled by Zach Randolph. Rush landed awkwardly and was inobvious pain.He was visibly distraught when he was on the ground, and had to be helped to the locker room by teammates.The Warriors confirmed that Rush had injured his left knee but said nothing more would be known until he had an MRI on Saturday.Rush tore his right ACL in May 2007 while atKansas.Rush had a breakout season for the Warriors last year, andis an integral part of what the team believes is an improved bench. Thisoffseason, he re-signed with the Warriors for 8 million over twoyears.
