Warriors expected to sign Gladness for rest of season

The Warriors flew to Los Angeles Saturday afternoon for agame against the Lakers on Sunday. The good news for center Mickell Gladnesswas that he was on that plane.Gladnesss 10-day contract was set to expire later Saturday,but the Warriors are expected to sign him for the remainder of the seasoninother words, the final 16 games of the season.Gladness has played fourteen games for the Warriors thisseason and is averaging one point and 1.4 rebounds in 5.2 minutes per game. Hehad six points and three rebounds in 12 minutes against New Jersey onFriday.Gladness, who went undrafted out of Alabama A&M in 2008,will battle for minutes at center with rookie Jeremy Tyler.
