CSNBayArea.comTwo years ago, the Sacramento Kings scored a small coup when DeMarcus Cousins fell to them for the No. 5 pick in the NBA draft. With another No. 5 pick in this year's draft, the Kings don't appear on the verge of benefiting from another highly touted big man falling to them. Potential top-five pick Thomas Robinson likely will not even work out for the Kings, according to Sports Illustrated's Sam Amick. "With the obligatory 'things can change' attached, it's not sounding as if (Robinson) will be working out for the Kings," Amick tweeted Wednesday. If the Kansas forward does not feel the need to show the Kings in person what he can do, that would suggest he has received some assurance that he will be taken with one of the top-four picks. Robinson averaged 17.7 points and 11.9 rebounds per game for Kansas this past season, leading the Jayhawks to the national championship game. Robinson posted 18 points and 17 boards in the championship game, but Kansas fell to Kentucky, 67-59. In Warriors Insider Matt Steinmetz's NBA mock draft 2.0, he had the 6-foot, 10-inch forward going to the Washington Wizards with the third pick. Robinson is now the second elite draft prospect in as many days to choose to not work out for the Kings. North Carolina forward Harrison Barnes reportedly cancelled his workout with Sacramento yesterday, spurring speculation that he too might be a top-four selection. If both Robinson and Barnes go in the top four, Kentucky forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Florida guard Bradley Beal could fall to the Kings.Colin Becht is an intern with CSNBayArea.com and a senior at Northwestern University
