Report: Kings don't attend arena negotiations

When negotiations began yesterday in Dallas to work out a new stadium deal for the SacramentoKings, nobody actually from the Kingswas there.Tom Ziller of SB Nation reported the news Wednesday, viaKFBK Radios Rob McAllister.According to the report, The NBA and arena operator AEG metin Dallas Wednesday along with representatives from the city of Sacramento.
Representing the NBA was Clay Bennett, owner of the Oklahoma CityThunder.Bennett moved the SuperSonics out of Seattle and to Oklahoma Cityin 2008. Bennett was also reported to have recommended to NBA commissioner David Stern thatthe Kings relocation bid to Orange County be denied, accordingto Ziller.Sacramentohas until March 1, 2012 to get an arena plan solidified. The Kings owners, theMaloof family, have said the NBA will approve the relocation to Orange County if a plan is not inplace by then.
