One more game, then it's arrivederci, Giancarlo

MIAMI -- Bad luck, Giants. Giancarlo Stanton didn't get stung by a jellyfish, thrown in the drunk tank or spontaneously combust Saturday night.

He's in Sunday's lineup for the Marlins as the Giants try to split this four-game series and clinch a winning record on this seven-game trip to Wisconsin and Florida.

Ricky Nolasco, who became the Marlins' all-time wins leader in his last start, is 5-2 with a 1.56 ERA in seven career starts against the Giants. But he's done most of that good work at AT&T Park, where he's 4-0 with a 0.87 ERA in four starts. Maybe the smell of garlic fries inspires him. He's been a little more hittable in previous encounters in Miami.

One more note: The Marlins optioned outfielder and "Tombstone" extra Kevin Mattison to Triple-A New Orleans. They purchased the contract of outfielder Justin Ruggiano, who in no way resembles Scott Cousins. It's like that guy went into the witness protection program or something.
