ANAHEIM -- Oakland Athletics right fielder Josh Reddick will not be in the A's lineup on Tuesday in Anaheim. He is still recovering from the effects of a sprained right wrist that he suffered in Houston on Sunday.
Reddick updated his condition as a guest on 95.7 The Game.
"I've been wrapping it up and I'm wearing a splint right now," Reddick told hosts John Lund and Greg Papa. "It's still pretty bruised."
Reddick said hopes to be back in the lineup Wednesday. He won't be swinging a bat on Tuesday and will spend time with the trainers getting treatment.
"I don't think it's going to be a DL stint, especially with no breaks or fractures in there" he said. "It has made some progress the last day or two."
The A's Gold Glove right fielder slammed into a wall in foul territory in the fifth inning against the Astros with an 8-0 lead. The collision looked serious. After X-rays came back negative, Reddick said he was very relieved.
