Josh Reddick's beard is taking on a life of it's own. Based on the unshorn length and general grisliness of the scruff on the A's Gold Glove right fielder, bearded WWE superstar Daniel Bryan made an unsolicited challenge on Tuesday via Twitter.

Undeterred, Reddick responded to the challenge using Bryan's catch phrase.

That seemed to enrage Bryan, a former World Heavyweight Champion and currently a member of "Team Hell No," the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions.

Reddick and Bryan will now commence with a beard-off. This has developed into quite a hairy situation. The A's outfielder told members of the media he accepts Bryan's challenge and is now keeping the beard.
