Yoenis Cespedes broke a 2-2 tie with a solo home run in the eighth, Josh Reddick hit a two-run shot in the same inning, and the A's tightened up the A.L. West race with a 5-2 win over the Mariners.
There are four games left and the A's are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, the team still has no idea where they will be playing next week -- or if they will be playing.
Things didn't look good trailing by two runs in the final frame, but home runs by Josh Donaldson and Brandon Moss -- and a narrow miss in the dugout -- kept the A's rolling in Oakland.
Brett Anderson was in the outfield playing catch again on Saturday, as he threw from 120 feet. The team remains optimistic that he could be ready for the postseason.
