SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. --Freddy Sanchez, who Bruce Bochy said could start at secondbase on Monday, will have to wait a few more days to play defense, despitehaving no setbacks.I talked to head trainer Dave Groeschner and were probablylooking at the middle of the week, Bochy said. We still want to do a couplemore things with him. Working on the infield is part of it, and turning two. Wewant to be real comfortable putting him out there.Bochy was adamant that Sanchez did not have a setback in his rehabilitationfrom shoulder surgery.

Sanchez made his Cactus League debut Friday as the Giantsdesignated hitter and played in the teams road split squad game against theAngels Saturday. He went 1-for-3 with a single and a run scored batting out of the 3rdspot in the lineup in Tempe. When asked what changed since Friday, when Bochy saidSanchez could play Monday, the Giants manager fell on the sword. That was probably my fault, he said.
