Jeremy Roenick may be continually critical of a certain San Jose Sharks forward, but the former NHLer still expects his old team to make the playoffs.
On Sunday nights NHL postgame show on the NBC Sports Network, Roenick, who recently criticized forward Patrick Marleau, was asked if hes confident the currently eighth-seeded Sharks will make it to the postseason.
Im definitely confident, because this is the first time all year the Sharks actually have a healthy lineup all the way through, he said. They have Havlat back, six of their next 11 games at home, and theyre very difficult at home.
While thats not entirely true, as the Sharks were pretty healthy through the first half of the season and, except for Havlat, have dodged any major injuries, Roenicks point about the Sharks at home is a good one. San Jose is 20-11-3 at HP Pavilion this season, as opposed to just 15-14-7 on the road.
The Sharks have four of their next five games at home, too, including a match against the Ducks on Monday night.
