The Sharks will open the 2012-13 season in Anaheim on Friday, Oct. 12, and host the New York Rangers on Monday, Oct. 15 in their home opener, as the NHL revealed its season schedule on Thursday morning.
The Sharks longest homestand is nine games from Feb. 26 vs. Winnipeg through March 14 against the Kings. That is preceded by a seven-game road trip, also the longest of the season, from Feb. 12-23.
The Sharks face each of their Pacific Division rivals six times apiece, and have four games against each of the other Western Conference teams. They will face every team in the Eastern Conference at least once, including two games apiece against Philadelphia, Buffalo and New Jersey.

A three-game road trip to Nashville, Columbus and Phoenix wraps up the regular season slate.
The full schedule is contingent upon the NHL and players association agreeing to a new collective bargaining agreement. The current agreement is set to expire on September 15.
