SAN JOSE -- Sharks forward Ryane Clowe will miss Tuesday nights home game against the Calgary Flames due to injury, head coach Todd McLellan said after the teams morning skate at HP Pavilion.

Clowie wont play tonight. Hes got an upper body injury and is day-to-day, McLellan said.

McLellan said the injury is related to Minnesotas Justin Falk checking Clowe face-first into the boards on Jan. 10. Clowe did, however, play in the Sharks next three games in Winnipeg, Columbus and Chicago while wearing a cage, although he removed the cage early against the Blackhawks.

In 42 games, Clowe has nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points and 54 penalty minutes.
