49ers-Jets injury reports: Sopoaga sits, Jacobs limited

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Running back Brandon Jacobs, out of the 49ers lineup since Aug. 18 with a left knee sprain, returned to limited practice Wednesday at Youngstown State.Jacobs wore full pads for the first time since sustaining his injury against the Houston Texans in the 49ers' second exhibition game. He took part in warmups, but not the full practice. His availability is questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.The 49ers are spending this week practicing in Youngstown to adapt to the Eastern time zone for Sunday's game.Nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga, who sustained left knee and ankle sprains in the fourth quarter Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, did not practice. Coach Jim Harbaugh said earlier this week that Sopoaga's X-ray checked out OK.
