SANTA CLARA -- Defensive tackle Justin Smith went through limited practice again Thursday and is on track to return to action Saturday night against the Green Bay Packers in an NFC divisional-round game.

Smith missed the final two games of the regular season with a partially torn left triceps tendon when a bone spur, containing a segment of the tendon, was detached.

On Thursday, Packers wide receivers Jordy Nelson (ankle) and Randall Cobb (illness) returned to limited practice. Neither Nelson nor Cobb practiced on Wednesday.
