Running backs
21-Frank Gore: It was a quiet game for Gore, who had success with his limited touches. He played 44 snaps but carried the ball only eight times (all in the first half) for 36 yards (4.5 average). He also caught all four passes thrown his way for 20 yards.
23-LaMichael James: Was not active (coaches' decision).
24-Anthony Dixon: The 49ers' third-string running back did not see any action on offense. He played 17 snaps on special teams.
32-Kendall Hunter: He played 17 snaps of offense and gained 26 yards on four rushing attempts. He also caught one pass for 6 yards. . . Got to the corner to pick up 15 yards on a third-and-1 play on the first drive.
45-Brandon Jacobs: Was not active (coaches' decision).
48-Will Tukuafu: He played four snaps of offense.
49-Bruce Miller: He played 11 snaps on offense. . . Missed block on DE Adrian Tracy on play in which Gore was dropped for no gain on first drive. . . Made strong block on LB Spencer Paysinger to open hole for Gore's 10-yard gain in first quarter.
