New 49ers kicker Billy Cundiff made his Candlestick Park debut on Monday.

Cundiff, long-snapper Brian Jennings and holder Andy Lee participated in a workout, while 49ers special-teams coordinator Brad Seely and special-teams assistant Tracy Smith watched intently. In eight previous NFL seasons, Cundiff has never kicked at Candlestick.

Oh, yeah, and anyone who signed up for a tour of Candlestick Park had a nice view, too.

In photos posted on the Candlestick Park Stadium Tours Facebook page, Cundiff -- and only Cundiff -- kicked on the 49ers' home field on Monday. David Akers, who has struggled this season, was not in attendance. Coach Jim Harbaugh said there is a "leader in the clubhouse" for the right to kick for the 49ers on Saturday in the NFC divisional playoff game against the Green Bay Packers. But Harbaugh did not reveal which kicker has the advantage.

And how did Cundiff perform? According to an eyewitness account: "He performed really well. Very consistent, had great form, and got good depth. He rarely missed."
