SANTA CLARA -- The NFL fined 49ers running back Frank Gore $10,500 for a uniform violation in the 49ers' NFC Championship Game.

Gore played with his socks rolled down in the 49ers' 28-24 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. It was Gore's second uniform violation of the season. He was fined $5,250 for a violation earlier this season.

--The 49ers returned to practice on Wednesday. Outside linebacker Ahmad Brooks and tight end Garrett Celek were not participating in the portion of practice that was open to the media. The 49ers must file a practice participation report after Wednesday's workout.
