Williams sustained a hamstring strain that kept him out of practices since Saturday, July 27. Jenkins has been out of action since Tuesday. Both players were in full pads at the beginning of practice Sunday morning.

Wide receivers Kassim Osgood (hamstring) returned to the practice field Sunday morning after being out since Tuesday, and Ricardo Lockette was also in uniform. He missed Friday's practice with a right hip injury.

Veterans Lavelle Hawkins and Austin Collie joined the 49ers' competition at wide receiver on Friday. The 49ers signed Hawkins and Collie to one-year contract after they impressed the team during a workout.

One of the major competitions of training is to find a wide receiver opposite starter Anquan Boldin. Rookie Quinton Patton is still wearing a blue jersey, signifying that the middle finger on his left hand has not healed enough to enable him to catch passes.
