Super Bowl teams could be 49ers' prime-time competition

The NFL will not announce the times and dates for the 2012 season until the spring, but we already know the 49ers will face both Super Bowl participants.Their home game against the New York Giants and the road game against the New England Patriots offer a couple of prime-time scheduling possibilities. (As long as the NFL is convinced Candlestick Park can handle the electrical demands of a night game.)Commissioner Roger Goodell announced last week that the NFL will add five more weeks of Thursday night games during the regular season. The expansion means each of the 32 teams will play at least one prime-time game. Each team will also have to play on a Thursday following a game the previous Sunday.49ERS 2012 OPPONENTS
