FRESNO Warriors coach Mark Jackson held point guardStephen Curry out of Sundays preseason opener against the Los AngelesLakers.Jackson said he didnt want to play Curry in back-to-backgames this early in the preseason. Curry, of course, missed most of the 2011-12season with ankle issues. It has nothing to do with how he looks, Jackson said 90minutes before tip-off. He looks great. Hes done everything weve asked him todo from the day after Labor Day. Hes in great shape.I just didnt want him to play back-to-back nights. We playat home (Monday), in front of our fans and I thought that would be the betterplace to play. Once again, in typical Steph fashion, he said: Coach, is thereany way I can talk you out of this?Curry said he was looking forward to playing in the firstgame, but he understood where Jackson was coming from.Ill just wait till tomorrow, see how I feel, said Curry, who went through the teams morning shootaround and worked out pregame. Illtest it out, see how it feels. It will be nice to play at Oracle.
