Warriors shooting guard Monta Ellis practiced against Jeremy Lin all of last season when Lin was with Golden State.

At the end of the season, Ellis said that he believed Lin had improved so much that it was realistic for him to come into Warriors training camp in 2011-12 with the goal of being the teams third guard.Of course, that didnt happen. The Warriors waived Lin as did the Houston Rockets subsequently and now hes starting and starring in New York, having led the Knicks to seven consecutive victories. On Thursday, Ellis talked about Lins game and how much better he has become since the start of last season.

"He's doing great, Ellis said. "They're winning, because of him. He's passing the ball, he's hitting game-winners. You can't ask for no more. I'm happy for him."
