It seems apparent that the Warriors are considering shuttingdown Stephen Curry for a while, and perhaps for the rest of theseason. That became clear after the Warriors-Kings game on Tuesdaynight, when Curry, himself, intimated as much as well as his teammate DavidLee.Curry has been in and out of the lineup for approximatelytwo weeks, and his right ankle has been an issue since the preseason.Hes tweaked the ankle several times this year and last, andnobody has come up with a reason as to why it keeps happening.

When Curry was asked about his status for the rest of theseason, he responded: Im just trying to get healthy. Im getting fed up withdealing with the same thing over and over again and trying to push through itand not being able to produce like I want to on the floor.Thats my main goal, to get healthy. What that means Imnot sure yet. Ill continue to do my rehab and my treatment and listen to the(training) staff. Im sure well have a better idea what were going to dogoing forward later.Trading Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh two starters to theBucks indicates that the Warriors have given up their pursuit of the playoffs. If thats the case, it likely also makes sense for the Warriors to shut downCurry. Its no secret that the Warriors first-round draft pickfactors into this decision, too. The worse the Warriors finish, the better thechances that they will retain their 2012 first-rounder.If the Warriors wind up with the Nos. 1 through 7 picks, they will keep it. If they end up with the No. 8 pick or worse, they will loseit. The Warriors are currently the 11th-worst team in theNBA.Lee was asked whether or not he believe the trade withMilwaukee signified a shift in philosophy from winning now to thinking aboutthe future. He made it clear that what the team is deciding on Curry will havegreat bearing on that.Im going to take this game by game, Lee said of the restof the season. There have been a lot of changes around here the last twohours. We have to take a step back and see what theyre going to do with StephCurry and thats going to be a big part of us moving forward.
