Point guardIsh Smith was claimed off waivers by the Warriors and have been awarded his rights.
The SanFrancisco Chronicle first reported the move.
Smith willcompete with rookie Charles Jenkins for minutes behind Stephen Curry.Smithplayed for Houston and Memphis a season ago, averaging 10.3 minutes whileplaying in 43 games.The 6-foot, 175 pound waterbug-type point guard provides plenty of speed and quickness.
He played four years at Wake Forest and averaged 13 points and six assists per game as a senior in 2009-10.
