Warriors point guard Stephen Curry downplayed his mostrecent ankle tweak and said hed be fine by the teams regular-season openeragainst the Suns in Phoenix on Oct. 31.Curry rolled the ankle in the second quarter of theWarriors 101-97 preseason victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden and didntreturn. Its well-known Ive had some sprains the last couple ofyears, a couple of surgeries, Curry told Fox Sports Radio on Saturday. Butlast night was just a weird, freak play in the preseason. I got rolled on byone of the Portland players. It wont set me back too bad. Ill be ready to goopening night.Curry missed 40 of 66 games last season because of ankleissues. He rehabbed all of the summer and was cleared to play five-on-fivebasketball about a month ago.After sustaining the injury against Portland, Curry wantedto go back into the game.Its the preseason so weve got to be smart, obviously,Curry said.
