OAKLAND Big night for Warriors rookie KlayThompson.Hell start out defending Kobe Bryant Tuesday night when theLakers come to Oracle Arena to play Golden State.Youve got to compete, said Thompson, when asked how heapproaches that challenge. Hes going to get his shots and his points. Youjust have to make it tough on him. Its not just my job, were going to have todo it collectively. Thats for all the Lakers players their big men, Kobe,(Ramon) Sessions."With Kobe, youve got to get into him and compete. If youback down hes going to feel that and hes going to go right at you.Bryant is averaging 28.3 points per game, which leads theNBA. He also could have added motivation after coach Mike Brown kept him out ofa chunk of crunch time during Sundays game against the MemphisGrizzlies.Mostly, its about going out there and playing withpassion, said Thompson, who is averaging 18 points and 3.2 assists in 10starts this season. Thats what it mostly comes down to. Its going to be achallenge, starting and playing 30-35-40 minutes. Im looking forward to it,though. Hes the leading scorer in the league and thats what you play in theNBA for.
