Ginn, Williams return to practice

SANTA CLARA -- Receivers Ted Ginn and Kyle Williams returned to the practice field Thursday, as the 49ers held their first postseason practice with a Jan. 14 playoff game looming.Ginn missed the last two regular-season games with a left ankle sprain. Williams was cleared this week after sustaining a concussion Dec. 24 against the Seattle Seahawks. Williams wore a black jersey, signifying he was off-limits for any contact.
Tight end Delanie Walker (fractured jaw) did not take part in practice. He has started talking and eating solid food, according to teammates, but his availability for the playoffs remains in question.RELATED: Walker's jaw improving, but playoff appearance still in doubt
Defensive linemen Justin Smith (knee) and Ray McDonald (hamstring), and cornerbacks Carlos Rogers (knee) and Chris Culliver (knee) are not practicing. All four players are expected to be ready for the team's playoff opener.Running back Frank Gore, fullback Bruce Miller and linebacker Patrick Willis were in practice gear during the warmup session that was open to reporters.
