Harbaugh: ‘This is a Greg Roman offense'

SANTA CLARA -- Coach Jim Harbaugh has gotten most -- if not all -- of the credit for the 49ers' remarkable turnaround. On Wednesday, he gave the credit for the 49ers' efficiency on offense to another member of the team's coaching staff."This is a Greg Roman offense," Harbaugh said of the 49ers' first-year offensive coordinator.

Harbaugh said that he has a voice. But so does each of the other offensive coaches, he said."We're contributors," Harbaugh said. "But Greg is the majority of this offense, as the play-caller and the schematics. That's the way it's been this year. And that's the way it's been the last couple years going back to Stanford, too. The greatest share is Greg Roman."Harbaugh said the tackle-eligible pass to Joe Staley last week was scripted among the 49ers' opening plays of the game. The other notable pass, a late-game completion to Isaac Sopoaga, however, was something that was not planned for a specific point in the game."The Joe play that was in our openers," Harbaugh said. "We'd talked about that one as a staff. The play to Isaac, that was called by Greg on the spot."
