SAN FRANCISCO -- The 49ers are unsure whether two offensive starters will be available when the team returns to action Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens.Fullback Bruce Miller sustained a concussion in the second quarter and did not return to action in the 49ers' 23-7 victory Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals.NFL guidelines require that all players who sustain concussions must be cleared by a team physician and an independent neurological consultant before returning to action.Right tackle Anthony Davis underwent X-rays after sustaining a right ankle sprain in the third quarter. He returned to the game briefly, but did not play in the fourth quarter. Alex Boone filled in for Davis, who walked with a limp after the game. He said he did not know the result of the X-rays.Running back Frank Gore, who was limited during the week of practice with a right knee bruise, played about 2 12 quarters. Gore made it through the game healthy.

After the 49ers extended their lead to 23-0, Gore did not return to the action. He finished the game with 88 yards rushing on 24 attempts. Third-string running back Anthony Dixon saw his most play time of the season with 32 yards on seven carries."It's smart," Gore said. "We play Thursday. It'll be a tough game. The other backs did a great job when they got in and got some reps. We'll be fine. I know coach is going to be great with us on a short week."Tight end Justin Peelle played fullback with Miller out the action. The 49ers did not have a backup fullback in uniform, as veteran Moran Norris was one of the team's inactive players."Peelle did a great job when he got in," Gore said. "Coach (Tom) Rathman did a great job with him. It was a tough game but we love those type of games."The 49ers' big lead enabled the team to rest receiver Braylon Edwards, coach Jim Harbaugh said. Edwards has only nine receptions in four games since missing four games with a knee injury. Quarterback Alex Smith targeted Edwards four times in Sunday's game but Edwards did not have a catch.Cornerback Tarell Brown, who entered the game listed as questionable with a right knee injury, played the entire game.
